Orsina Mattingly

Orsina Thomas Mattingly, 88, of Choteau, passed away September 1, 2016 at his home near Choteau from natural causes. There will be a private scattering of his remains at a later date.

Tom, as he preferred to be called, was born November 6, 1927 to Orsina Ralph Mattingly and Mary Fudge. He graduated High School in Williston, North Dakota and was drafted into the United States Army during WWII. After his service he became a truck driver and was blessed with four Children. He lived quite a few different places in Montana settling in Choteau within the last 10 years. More recently living out on the farm near his dear friends Joe and Kathy Campbell. Tom enjoyed fishing and hunting and had done so in many places.

Tom is survived by his children Mathew Mattingly of Fairbanks, Alaska; his daughter Linda Mattingly of Orofino, Idaho and his daughter Diane Mattingly of Texas. His brothers Cecil Thorpe of Williston, North Dakota and Corky of Idaho and his sister Bonnie of Missoula, Montana as well as 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his son Thomas Mattingly.
