Her final moments were as serene as the life she lived-a life devoted to family, education, and unwavering kindness.
Mary was born on October 9, 1929, in the charming town of Ledger, Montana. She was the cherished daughter of Louis Jacob Floerchinger and Dorothy Bruner Floerchinger. Growing up in a close-knit family, she was the beloved sister to Ralph, Thomas, William, and Edna, all of whom predeceased her. Mary carried their memories with her throughout her life, drawing strength and joy from the bonds they shared.
A proud graduate of Conrad High School, Mary pursued her passion for teaching at Northern Montana College, where she earned a two-year teaching degree. With a heart full of hope and a mind eager to inspire, she embarked on a career that would touch countless young lives, fostering curiosity and kindness in her students.
On August 17, 1951, in her hometown of Conrad, Mary married the love of her life, Robert Stanley Pourroy. Together, they built a home filled with laughter and love, raising three sons: James Robert Pourroy, Lee Allan Pourroy (Jacquie), and Jeffery Louis Pourroy. Robert was not only her husband but her greatest friend and partner until his passing. Their marriage was a testament to devotion and shared dreams.
Mary's legacy is carried on by her sons and her seven treasured grandchildren: Nicole (Sam), Kristen (Zach), Alicia, Jeffery, Zoe, and Zachary. Her love also extends to the next generation, her four great-grandchildren: Camden Lee, Lennon Dorothy, Jones Eugene, and Alexandria, who brought her immense joy and hope for the future.
Mary was predeceased by her dear husband, Robert, her cherished parents, brothers Ralph , Thomas, William, sister Edna and her grandson, Jason Lee Pourroy, whose memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved them.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at BeeHive Homes in Choteau for their exceptional care and kindness. Mary's family takes comfort in knowing that she was surrounded by love and peace in her final days. They hold her memory close, whispering, "Forever in our hearts."
