Lucile Waters

Lucile (Inbody) Waters, 97, of Choteau, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at Teton Nursing Home in Choteau, MT. She is now resting in peace in Heaven.
Services will be held Saturday, February 22nd at the Pavillion in Choteau at 2:00 PM. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, February 21st at Gorder Jensen Funeral Home in Choteau. Interment will be in the Choteau Cemetery.
Lucile was born January 23, 1917 in Rockford, WA to Hannah (Graedel) Inbody and Roy Inbody. In 1919, at the age of 2, they moved to Teton County in Montana to a farm northeast of Choteau. Her dad also taught school in the Farmington area. When she was 17, her parents died from a car accident. She then became the lady of the house for younger brother Glen, and little brother, Clark. they were a close knit trio that worked together on everything.
She went to grade school at the East Farmington Grade School and high school at Teton County High School in Choteau. She graduated in 1935.
Lucile married Harold Waters of Dutton at Olympia, WA. Harold was stationed at Fort Lewis at the time. They lived in Washington, California, and Missouri before Harold was sent overseas during WWII. Lucile then moved back to Choteau and worked for 3 years on various farms in the Choteau and Dutton area.
In 1946 Harold came home and they moved to the Waters farm west of Dutton. Lucile was very active in helping on the farm. They retired from farming in 1971 and lived in Dutton, and in 1978 they moved to Choteau.
Lucile is survived by sons Gerald Roy (Sylvia Kind) Waters of Fairfield, MT and Robert Waters of Mesa, AZ and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lucile was a member of St. Williams Catholic Altar Society and the American Legion Auxiliary in Dutton; St. Joseph Altar Society, hospital auxiliary, Rebekah Lodge and Senior Center in Choteau. She did volunteer work at the Teton Medical Center, Teton Nursing Home and the Red Cross Blood drawings in Choteau. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She was a good seamstress and enjoyed needlework and cooking.
Lucile was preceded in death by her parents, Hannah and Roy Inbody, brothers: Joe Inbody, Glen Inbody and Clark Inbody; grandchildren, Julie Waters and Ryan Waters, and daughter-in-law Mary (Gaudet) Waters.
Memorials are suggested to either Teton Medical Center or the Teton Nursing Home in Choteau.
