A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Little Flower Catholic Church in Browning, Mt for Lorraine Mary Spotted Bear, age 75, of Browning, MT who died Friday, March 23, 2012 at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls, MT from natural causes. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, March 28nd at the Glacier Homes Community Center in Browning and a wake will be in progress at the Glacier Homes Community Center from Monday, March 26th to service time. Interment will be in the Willow Creek Cemetery under the direction of Gorder Jensen Funeral Home of Choteau.
Lorraine was born August 5, 1936 in Browning, MT, the daughter of Alemina No Runner Big Beaver and Frank Daniels. Most of her life was spent in Browning, where she had worked as an aide at the Dustable Training Center for the Mentally Disabled and the White Buffalo Home.
She was a member of the Little Flower Catholic Church, and Cursillo at the church. She enjoyed playing Bingo, word puzzles and Blackjack and enjoyed going on picnics and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Roberta Spotted Bear, Mary Spotted Bear, Gale Spotted Bear and Patty "Missy" Spotted Bear, all of Browning; her brothers and sisters: Al Potts, Karen Gray, Leona "Tinsey" Sharp and Marie Still Smoking, all of Browning and Patty Daniels of Cut Bank; 17 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons: Jess J. Spotted Bear Jr. and Gary Spotted Bear, sisters: Evelyn Little Plume, Clara Found A Gun, Rosie Big Beaver and brothers, Frank Edwards and Dallas Big Beaver.
