Keven Carden

March 19, 1956 — May 18, 2022

Keven "Speed" Fowler Carden, 66 of Choteau, passed away May 18, 2022 at Benefis Peace Hospice in Great Falls following a long battle with cancer. Per Keven's wishes no services will be held.



Keven was born March 19, 1956 in Olympia, Washington to Elden and Betty (Avery) Carden. One of eight children, was raised in Olympia and attended school in the Olympia area. Keven received his Graduate Equivalency Degree and joined the United States Army October 22, 1974 in Seattle. He was honorable discharged February 7, 1975.



Keven was working as a cook at the Beehive Restaurant when he met Vicki Wiseman. She worked at a restaurant across the street and when Keven saw her it was love at first sight. The couple was married March 3, 1989 in Aberdeen, Washington and were together for over 38 years. The couple lived in Montesano, Washington where Keven worked as a cook and for his family janitorial business.



In 1994 Keven and his family moved to Choteau, Montana to their forever home where they lived for 28 years. Keven got a job cooking for Dave and Gene Radkee at John Henrys Restaurant. Eventually he found his "home away from home" at Front Line Ag where he worked for 22 years; working on small engines and completing other tasks.



Keven enjoyed fishing in Chehalis River in Montesano, Washington where he would catch 40 - 50 lb salmon, clam digging and gopher hunting. He was always working or working in his yard and was willing to try anything once.



Keven is survived by his wife Vicki of the family home in Choteau; his children Nikki Feback (Crystal Capps) of Texas; Christopher (Tami-Lea) Carlberg of Washington, Kristina Green of Great Falls and Thomas Carden of Choteau; siblings Johnny Ulery, Jo Ann Ulery-Cermak; George Ulrey, Deveren Carden, Clinten Carden and Jamie Carden all of Washington and Debbie Bearden (Bruce Webber) of Reno, Nevada; brother-in-law Russell (Linda Taylor Holt) Larson of Washington; Sisiter-in-law Doris (Don) Wilson of Libby, Montana; brother in-law Jack (Dianne) Wiseman of Helena, Montana as well as 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grand daughter and many nieces and nephews.



Keven was preceded in death by his parents Elden and Betty Carden; brother-in-law Wayne Cermak; granddaughter ShyAnn Green and his dear friend Warren Dean.
