Jerry Stringfellow

September 19, 1957 — August 5, 2021

Jerry Forrest Stringfellow II, of Choteau, passed away August 5, 2021 at the Great Falls Clinic Hospital in Great Falls, Montana. He was 63 years old.

Jerry was born September 19, 1957 in Riverside, California to Jerry Stringfellow Sr. and Lea (Olsen) Stringfellow. He was a well traveled young man growing up in Copenhagen, Denmark and Opelika, Alabama. After losing his father at a young age he became the father figure to his two younger sisters Tina and Glenda. When he became an uncle, he treated his niece and nephews as if they were his own children, teaching them and guiding them through life.

Jerry met the love of his life Nancy Knight and the couple married May 9, 1987 in Leesburg, Florida. The were married for 34 years and had 4 children whom were his pride and joy.

Jerry was an Army Ranger in the US Army with the 82nd Airborne. He was a small business owner and entrepreneur by trade. In 1996 Jerry fell in love with Montana, and he and his family made the long adventure from Ocala, Florida to Augusta, Montana. Jerry loved camping, fishing and the outdoors and Montana was the perfect place to raise his 4 children. In 1998 they found their home in Choteau- the perfect community for his family to place roots.

Jerry took pride in coaching his kids- mainly wrestling, baseball, basketball and volleyball. Jerry was happiest when he was cheering his kids and their teammates on, from the sidelines. Jerry prided himself in being a father; watching and helping his children create their lives. Being a grandpa was one of his greatest joys. He loved his grandchildren more than anything in the world and would sit and play ball with them any chance he got. Jerry adored his family and was always happy when they were all together laughing and enjoying life.

Later in his life after he "semi-retired", he enjoyed traveling around the country with Nancy and finding new places to drop a line in and fish. He spent time with his kids any chance he got, even if it was for 5 minutes. Jerry will be missed, especially his "Dad" hugs and his forehead kisses.

Jerry is survived by his wife Nancy Knight, his children: Lea (Jeff) Yeager and their two children Prailee and Paxton Yeager of Choteau, Son Jerry F. Stringfellow lll and his two children Zoey and Boston Stringfellow of Lake City, Florida. Daughters Sarah Stringfellow of Gainesville, Florida and Hallie Stringfellow of Choteau, Mt. His two sisters Tina Stringfellow of Daytona Beach, Florida and Glenda Stringfellow of Wildwood, Florida. His niece and nephew Lacey and Aaron Cassidy of Wildwood, Florida. His nephew Forrest Stringfellow of Daytona Beach, Florida and his beloved dog Misty.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Lea Stringfellow. Jerry will be missed by all, but his memory will live on in the hearts of many.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder-Jensen Funeral Home and per Jerry's wishes no services will take place at this time. A small family service will take place next spring.
