Funeral services for Pastor Henry Bouma, age 75, of Choteau, Montana will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at the Old Paths Baptist Church in Choteau. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Choteau Cemetery under the direction of Gorder Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, February 232 at the funeral home in Choteau. Henry died February 19, 2004 at the Benefis East Hospital in Great Falls from natural causes.



Henry was born December 26, 1928 in Corsica, South Dakota. His family then moved to Montana, He served in the U.S. Army in Germany where he met his bride to be. He married Paula Jaud on August 21, 1954. They farmed in Choteau for many years and then moved to Washington State and British Columbia, where he was active in real estate, land development, and was co-owner of Chilliwack Redi-mix Corp.



In 1972, they moved back to Choteau, where they had lived ever since. Henry was pastor of Old Paths Baptist Church for nearly 30 years and he worked extensively in the mission field here and abroad. He also helped found Gospel Mission Books, where he remained active until his death.



Survivors include his wife: Paula and 5 children: Louis of Great Falls, MT; Hank of Choteau, MT; Mrs. Phil (Norrine) Kaat of Sheboygan Falls, WI; Barney of Choteau, MT; Mrs. Steven (Karen) Aichelmann of Prosper, TX and 12 grandchildren; brothers and sister: Peter of Washington; Herman of Michigan; Harold of Choteau, Andrew of Choteau; Ann of Choteau; Ralph of Conrad; Henretta of Chillwack, BC; John of Wisconsin; Jeenie of Chilliwack, BC and Frances of Wisconsin.



In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Gospel Mission of Choteau, Montana
