Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Augusta Community Church for Gerald (Jerry) Robert Mosher, age 84 of Augusta, MT who died Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Teton Medical Center in Choteau.
Jerry was born February 5, 1930 in Great Falls, MT, the son of Robert and Rose (Herring) Mosher. Jerry was raised and educated in Augusta and after high school attended Montana State University. He was married to Nola Faulkner on September 5, 1952 in Bancroft, Idaho. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in Korea.
Jerry was a rancher, operating the T - Ranch west of Augusta. He was a handyman in the community and a caretaker of the Augusta Cemetery. Jerry and Nola spent one summer with the US Forest Service at Badger Creek. Jerry was also a Montana State Brand Inspector. He was a member of the Augusta American Legion Post #51 and the Augusta Masonic Lodge # 54. He served on the Augusta School Board for many years. Family activities, the great outdoors and working in his yard brought him great enjoyment. After retirement from the ranch, he built their home on the edge of town where they could view the mountains.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nola, of the family home; daughters, Michelle (Jerry) Hensley of Choteau, Kathi (Scott) Chattin of Tehachapi, CA, and Dana (Dan) Isakson of Choteau; a sister, Noel (Ray) Phillips of Helena; a sister-in-law: Carol Mosher of Billings, MT; 8 grandchildren, Matt Hensley of Choteau, Chad Hensley of California, Mikala (DeMarco) Ellis and Lauren Richardson, both of Lancaster, CA, Dawn (Lucas) Gunderson of Choteau, Darcy (David) Mannion of Havertown, PA, Dallas Isakson of West Haven, UT and Dylan (Danae) Isakson of Choteau; and 13 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Josh Hensley; and brother, Roland Mosher.
