Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 8, 2013at the Gorder Jensen Funeral Home in Choteau for Frances (Blaak) Bouma, age 73, of Choteau, MT who died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Teton County Nursing Home in Choteau after a lengthy battle with cancer. Burial will follow in the Choteau Cemetery under the direction of Gorder Jensen Funeral Home
Frances was born February 2, 1940 in Sunnyside, WA, the daughter of William and Clazina Marie (Warmenhoven) Blaak. She was married to William Medema in Grand Rapids, MI on July 5, 1980. He preceded her in death in August of 1986. She was married to Andrew Bouma in Choteau on August 3, 1999 in Choteau, MT He preceded her in death in September 2004. Frances was a Licensed Practical Nurse while living in Grand Rapids, MI. She was a member of the Old Path's Baptist Church in Choteau. Frances enjoyed sight-seeing and taking rides and needlework.
Survivors include stepdaughters: Nancy (Frank) Crowder of Conrad, MT and Lyntje (Tom) Arnold of Blaine, Minnesota, a brother: Paul (Lois) Blaak of Grand Rapids, MI, two sisters: Annette (Hubert) Kraayeveld of Grand Rapids, MI and Leona (Han) vandenBerg of the Netherlands and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, her parents and a sister: Johanna vanAtten.
