Elwood Lyle Webb Sr. age 90 of Fairfield, Montana died Wednesday, APRs 23rd at his home in Fairfield. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Jensen Funeral Home. At his request, no services are planned.
Elwood was born November 5, 1924 in Great Falls, MT the son of Ernest and Ruth (Smith) Webb. He was raised and educated in Cascade and ranched in Square Butte and Crown Butte areas and summers as a youth at the Birdtail Ranch with his grandparents.
He enjoyed wood working, writing poems, Gemology and photography. In his younger years he enjoyed raising Appaloosa horses and was a member and past president of the Northwest Appaloosa Horse Club. He also enjoyed raising Herefords and black baldy Angus cattle.
He is survived by his wife: Jeanne of the home in Fairfield; 6 children: Elwood Webb Jr. of Napa, ID, Nat Webb of Huron, MT, Karen Johnson of Idaho, Tina Leveque of Napa, ID, Kim Krueger of Denver, CO, and Cathy Barnhart of California and a brother, Wesley Webb of Great Falls, MT, sister, Evelyn Anderssch of Butte, MT and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepson Mike Fry, a stepdaughter, Kate Fadness, a sister in law, Millie Webb and a brother, Ernest Webb.
