Elizabeth Neckstad

February 5, 1955 — December 9, 2022

Elizabeth Ann Neckstad, wife, mom, grandma, and friend passed peacefully December 9th at the Great Falls Clinic, surrounded by her husband, children and closest friend. Beth fought hard and won many health battles over the last 8 years but was tired and although we were not ready for her to leave our side, she was ready to be free of pain. A celebration of Beth's life will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Augusta Community Center in Augusta, Montana.

Beth Ann was born February 5, 1955 to Ruth Ellen Jackson in Choteau Montana. She was welcomed into the Jackson clan surrounded by loving family who enjoyed nothing more than being together, and she carried on that love and welcoming spirit as she grew up and raised her own family. Beth grew up and continued to raise her family in Augusta the town she loved. When Beth was 2, her beloved mom found the love of her life and Beth's forever father Kent Smith. Beth graduated from Augusta High School in 1973, and continued to live in Augusta until her passing.

On October 25th 1975 she married the love of her life Ron Neckstad at the community church in Augusta, and they celebrated 47 years married in October. She worked as a cook, bartender, poker dealer and was known as Augusta's "bookie". She was a staple at the Buckhorn bar for 35 years serving people who became her friends. She loved her job and the people she met there and especially the Dellwo family whom she worked for under three generations. Not only was her food amazing but she was a talented bead worker and braided horse tack for many people through the years. She was involved with all of the activities in Augusta especially the Youth Center, and American Legion Axillary, and there wasn't a school fundraiser she didn't miss donating to. Her heart and home were always filled with kids, with many of them calling her mom, she loved the craziness it included and missed terribly as her kids moved out. As she welcomed her grandkids into this world that emptiness was filled with them playing and her spoiling them every time, they were together. She said her happiest moments in life was living through her grandkid's imaginations as they played in her backyard. Beth Ann enjoyed playing cards and cooking with her husband, traveling to see her daughter and family, and going to her granddaughter's sporting events with her son.

Beth is survived by her husband Ron Neckstad of Augusta Montana, Son Brian (Michelle) Neckstad of Augusta, Daughter Calli (Kris) Carroll of Las Vegas Nevada. Six grandkids Mason, Meadow and Miley Carroll, Rori and Avyn Neckstad and Gabriel Worthey. A half-brother RJ Hubbard of St. Marie Montana and two half-sisters. Many cousins who she considered siblings, along with her Aunt Faye Jackson and Aunt Judy Jackson. She is preceded in Death by her mom Ruth Smith and Dad Kent Smith. In lieu of flowers donations are asked to be given in her name to the Augusta American Legion Auxiliary or Bright Eyes Animal Shelter in Choteau Montana.
