Born December 4, 1919 in Kemmerer, Wyoming to Charles L. and Effie Emigh Hatten. Eileen attended school in Kemmerer.
The family later moved to Pocatello, Idaho where her father worked on the railroad.
Eileen had two brothers, Lyle B. Hatten and Christian S. Hatten and three sisters, Rebecca Borino of Diamondville, Wyoming and LaVanda Lattin of Soda Springs, Idaho and Jayne Stoor of Hermiston, Oregon. All are deceased. Nieces and nephews survive her.
Eileen Married John Knowlton in Great Falls Montana on April 15, 1953. After the wedding they moved to John's ranch in the Blackleaf area west of Bynum, Montana. Eileen lived there until John's death on September 23, 1973. She then moved to Augusta, Montana and lived there for 36 years until coming to the Teton Medical center, in Choteau Montana.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Jensen Funeral Home of Choteau and burial will be at a later date in Idaho.
