Donald "Don" Cecil Passmore, 94 of Choteau, passed away peacefully September 2, 2022 at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, Montana after a battle with illness. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder-Jensen Funeral Home and a celebration of Don's life will take place Saturday; September 17, 2022 at the United Methodist Church in Choteau with military honors and a reception following at the church.

Don was born January 11, 1928 in Red Lodge, Montana to Cecil and Alberta (Clearman) Passmore. He was raised in Choteau and graduated from Teton County High School with the class of 1945. While in school he met his best friend and the love of his life Olive Newman. The couple was married May 11, 1949 at the United Methodist Church in Choteau. They had the opportunity to spend 70 wonderful years together.

November 24, 1948 Don was inducted into the United States Air Force in Great Falls, Montana. He spent 6 months in California before he was stationed at Randolph Air Force Base in Seguin, Texas just east of San Antonio where he was stationed for 3 1/2 years. While there, he was a morning clerk and typist. As the morning clerk, it was his duty to ready the morning reports in which detailed changes in the status of soldiers for each day. Don was honorably discharged form the armed services November 23, 1951. After his discharge from the military, Don returned to Choteau where he farmed, east of Choteau, for the remainder of his years.

Don was a member of the Choteau American Legion, the Odd Fellows Lodge and the Lions Club. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and attending his children's and grandchildren's extracurricular events. More than anything he loved to spend time with his family.

Don is survived by his wife Olive (Newman) Passmore; daughter Cecile Haynes; grandchildren Matt Passmore, Andy Passmore, Parker Passmore, Justin Hardison, Jackie Hardison, Rachel Lightner and 16 great-grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his children Eugene, Janie and Gary; his parents Cecil and Alberta Passmore; his sister Elaine Tesch and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

In lieu of flowers donations in Don's name can be made to the Choteau Lions Club, Choteau Public School or the Choteau swimming pool.
