Donald Ray Hindoien passed away on November 3rd, 2025 of natural causes while surrounded by his daughter, family and friends. Don was born on September 9th,1953 to Archie and Gladys (Miller) Hindoien, joining older siblings Eileen and Gary.

Don attended school in Great Falls and was a graduate of the Great Falls High School Class of 1971. He continued to work as a carpenter and having become a father he actively enjoyed the years of coaching his daughter, Cori, throughout her sporting adventures.

Don was an avid outdoorsman, both in Nevada where he and his dogs climbed the rocky mountainsides chasing chukars and partridges. While in Montana they could be spotted on the rivers fishing and come fall they would become an annual fixture throughout the Golden Triangle whilst hunting pheasants, Hungarian partridge, grouse and the occasional waterfowl. His love of the outdoors was also carried into his work. Don was well known for his hand-crafted drift boats that he constructed for the fly fisherman of Montana.
