Dennis Harold Lindgren, 74, of Choteau passed away Monday June 27, 2016. A memorial Service with military honors will be held July 8, 2016 at 11:00 am at Gorder-Jensen Funeral Home in Choteau. After the services have taken place there will be a luncheon at the New Life Church in Choteau
Dennis was born June 1, 1942 in Great Falls to Harold and Ethel Lindgren. He was one of six children. Dennis received his GED and went into the US Marine Corps as a Cook. After his time in the Marines he became a heavy equipment mechanic.
He married Drena Lane November 15, 1963 in Choteau and they had 3 children; Dennis, Marribeth and Trisha. Later the couple adopted their youngest daughter Heather.
Dennis was an active member of the American Legion. He loved camping, woodworking, taking drives and most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was an amazing cook and his family thought it was quite the treat when he did so.
Dennis is survived by his children Dennis (Gwen) Lindgren of North Carolina, Marribeth (Whit) Foster of Choteau and Heather (Keith) German of Watertown, SD. His sisters Shirley Vandenbos of Torrington, WY; Sandra Lynn Brewster of Choteau and brothers Ron Lindgren of Choteau, Randy Lindgren of Tacoma, WA and Perri Lindgren of Choteau. His Step-Siblings Woody Ameline, Rudy Ameline, Sandy Lindgren, Linda O'Laughlin all of Choteau and Ardith Bryant of Great Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold Lindgren and Ethel Ameline, his daughter Trisha Christine Lindgren and his granddaughter Brynn Michelle Young.
