Colleen Ferris Colleen Marie Ferris, 71, died on Dec. 31, 2017, at the Benefis Teton Medical Center Extended Care in Choteau of natural causes. Colleen was born to James and Marie Ferris on Feb. 15, 1946, in Kalispell. She attended Opportunity School in Kalispell for four years, before coming to the Choteau Activities where she learned life skills. She had her own apartment in Choteau and Great Falls where she learned to use the bus system. She worked in Great falls for Pizza Hut for 14 years. Colleen went to Great Falls for Special Olympics and for National Special Olympics in New Orleans, Louisiana. Colleen loved Star Wars and Star Trek and super heroes. She enjoyed drawing animals and her own characters. She sculpted tiny figures from Play-Doh and she also took art class at the Paris Gibson and participated in the art shows there. Colleen is survived by her mother, Marie Ferris of Choteau; her sisters, Linda (Dan) O'Neil of Billings and Jeanine Ferris of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers, Michael (Donna) Ferris of Columbus, Georgia, Richard (Barbara) Ferris of Aurora, Colorado, and Douglas (Karen) Ferris of Choteau; and many nieces and nephews.
