Catherine Elaine Horacek, age 52, of Choteau died Thursday, February 14, 2013 from long term health problems at her home in Choteau. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Jensen Funeral Home and memorial graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM on March 2, 2013 at the city cemetery in Lewistown, MT.
Catherine was born June 4, 1960 in Lewistown, the daughter of John and Stephanie (Huculak) Horacek. She moved to Choteau 19 years ago from Lewistown, MT. She fell in love and became common law married with Wes Chenoweth. Catherine worked over the years for Teton Medical Center as a Certified Nurses Aid, Beehive Hive Homes, the Choteau Public School, and on the ambulance crew as an EMT.
Catherine enjoyed raising her flowers and zucchini in her garden. She loved to embroider many different quilts for her grand-babies, and family. She enjoyed going fishing and truly loved watching wrestling. Above all she loved her family and especially her grand-babies. Catherine was the light in everyone's life and she taught all those who knew her how to be peaceful and forgiving towards others. Catherine was an amazing soul who would sacrifice everything for her family. She was a giving loving person who always put the needs of others first. She has truly been a blessing in our lives.
She is survived by her common-law husband, Wes Chenoweth of Choteau; children: Stephanie (Chris) O'Neill, Linda (Kody) Horacek, and Daniel (Chelsie) Horacek, all of Choteau; brothers and sisters: LeAnn Horacek, and Sandy Skalka, Bill Horacek, Daniel Horacek, Linda Blakemore, all of Lewistown, MT, Dale Horacek of Las Vegas, NV and David Horacek of Chicago, IL; and 7 grandchildren: Kennedy L. Horacek, Terrance W. O'Neill, Amberley E. O'Neill, Haily O'Neill, Chirsty M. O'Neill, Joshua L. Bostwick, and Damian L. Hopkins, all of Choteau Montana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers: Donald Horacek and Ronald Horacek.
