Burchard Windels

Our Beloved Son Burchard Jack Windels Jr. "B.J." age 41 passed away December 6, 2013 at Teton Medical Center in Choteau, Montana. B.J. was born May 13, 1972 in Havre, Montana to Burchard Windels Sr. and Kathleen Jane Lewis Windels.

B.J. graduated from Turner High School in 1990 and went on to attend Montana State University. He graduated from M.S.U. in 1990 with a degree in Microbiology. After graduating college he moved to St. Paul, Minnesota where he worked for Memorial Blood Bank.

B.J.'s hobbies included welding and woodworking. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was especially proud to have helped build his sister's house and he enjoyed the time he spent working on the family farm. B.J. also loved to spend time with his dog Billy. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as skiing, golfing, training and riding horses, hunting and traveling. In 2002 he had the opportunity to attend the winter Olympics in Utah as an observer.

B.J. had a strong personal relationship with his savior Jesus. He went on a mission trip to Lake Tahoe and then was able to attend a church mission with Campus Crusade for Christ in Russia. He also served as a youth leader for a couple of years at the Harlem Assembly of God Church in Harlem, Montana. He lived every day fully as if it would be his last.

B.J. moved from St. Paul, Minnesota to Fairfield, Montana in 2011 and then to Teton Medical Center Nursing Home in June 2013.

B.J. is survived by his father Burchard Windels Sr. and mother Kathleen Windels of Fairfield, Montana, his sister Julie Gibson of Fairfield, Montana and brothers Robert Luna Windels of Billings, Montana; Frank Luna Windels of Tacoma,Washington ; Santos Luna Windels of Billings, Montana and Wayne Windels of Aberdeen, South Dakota. As well as his nieces and nephews Danielle Luna Windels and Richard Windels of Seattle, Washington; Angelina Windels of Aberdeen, South Dakota and Rachel, Levi, Tristan and Dakota Gibson of Fairfield, MT.

Visitation will be held December 12, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Gorder-Jensen Funeral Home in Choteau, Montana. Services will be held at the Assembly of God Church in Fairfield, Montana Friday December 13, 2013 at 11:00 A.M.
