Betty Harris

Betty Harris passed away on January 3, 2018 at the age of 96 surrounded by her loved ones. Betty was born in Lewistown, Montana to Francis and Anna Duffy and was the oldest of seven children. She married C. R. "Dick" Harris on August 25, 1940 in Great Falls, Montana. Betty and Dick were ranchers in the Fairfield area their whole life and were blessed with four children. Betty enjoyed helping with lambing, calving, branding, and field work and helped with community services at the Choteau Seventh-day Adventist Church where she was a member. In her "spare" time she raised a vegetable garden, a flower garden, and later in life sewed quilts. She is survived by her son Keith (Gayle) Harris, daughter Louella (Ted) Schultz, daughter-in-law Arlene Harris all of Fairfield, brothers Dave Duffy and Chester Duffy of Lewistown, eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Dick Harris, sons Philip Harris and Wesley Harris, grandson Cameron Harris, sisters Dorothy Mays and Ruth Burnett, and brothers Tom Duffy and Murray Duffy.
