Beth Brickey

April 26, 1942 — February 7, 2012

Beth Brickey, 69, went to meet the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2012 at Teton Medical Center Extended Care Unit. Beth's death was caused by a very rare life-long neuromuscular disease. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, Feb. 13, 2012 at the New Life Assembly of God Church in Choteau, Mt with visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Cremation will take place under the direction of Gorder Jensen Funeral Home and her cremated remains will be interred in the Choteau Cemetery at a later date.



She was born in Sutton, WV on April 26, 1942 to William P. and Nora L. Mace. Beth was raised in Layland, OH where she attended grade school. After graduating high school at Killbuck, OH, she moved to Columbus, OH to work at Dollar federal Savings and Loan and take classes at OSU. She met the love of her life in Columbus and they were married on April 21, 1962. Two weeks later along with Bill and his 5 year old son, Paul (who became her son to this day) she headed to Rexford, MT to start what was to become an amazing life story. Beth loved the idea of family and family life and she considered that her top priority and crowing achievement.



Beth had many gifts and skills that she continued to develop taking extension classes at U of M and Flathead Community College. She published a book about her life in the Lord. She was room mother in her children's school, assisted with reading programs, active in 4H, Brownies and coached children's softball. Career wise she was an insurance broker, a licensed tax preparer, operated a grocery store, started a wholesale milk business and started the first Christian bookstore in Eureka, MT. She received the 2000 personal achievement award from Muscular Dystrophy Association for her courage and inspirational spirit.



Beth's proudest accomplishment is that she and Bill raised four great children who, along with her husband, Bill survive her: Paul (Sandy) Brickey of Minford, OH, Alison Skelton of Choteau; Johnna (Andy) Larsen of Bellingham, WA and son-in-law: Rodney Jackson of Amarillo, TX. They have eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her daughter, Daphne, father, William, mother Nora and sister Connie.



Memorials are suggested to the Teton Medical Center in Choteau, MT or the World Vision in Tacoma, WA
