Annagail Lee Sabados

A Celebration of the life of Annagail Lee Sabados, age 72, of Bynum, MT, who died Sunday, Dec. 11th at her home in Bynum from natural causes will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Choteau Country Club. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Jensen Funeral Home of Choteau.

Annagail was born on October 28, 1939 in Choteau, Mt to George Vincent and Buna Campbell Sabados. Shortly after Annagail was born, her mother died, leaving her father, George to raise her alone. When she was of school age, she entered the Ursuline Catholic Academy in Great Falls and was there for four years. After that, she finished grade school in Bynum. When she was in her early teens, her father died and her sister Katherine, who was 18 years older, raised her through high school. Annagail graduated from Teton County High School in 1958.

After high school she had her mind set to travel and so she headed south to Arizona and California, visiting relatives and seeing the country. After a year, she came back to Bynum and worked for various people but finally decided that she wanted to work for herself. In 1963, she and Katherine moved up to the ranch and that was where she spent the remainder of her life.

One of the many things that Annagail was most proud of was being a life-time resident of the Blackleaf. She loved her ranch and had a great fondness for her horses and her dogs. She ran a weather station at her ranch since the 1960s and enjoyed that a lot. She also liked people and was always one to wave, send a smile and was always good for a conversation. Annagail loved to email her friends and enjoyed facebook. Another joy in her life was working for Lew Jones in the hayfield and especially during lambing. She loved going to watch the Gustufson boys sing. And the love of travel never left her and in the early 2000's she visited Wales twice. Annagail was a rancher, an adventurer, and always a friend. She will be missed.

She is survived by a nephew, John Willis, a great niece, Tracy Willis and a good friend, Willie Wipf. Honorary Pallbearers would be all of her friends and neighbors as she loved them all.
